Mental health board referendums in Naperville, Lisle townships and Will County appear to have been approved

Voters in Will County and Naperville and Lisle townships in DuPage County are deciding whether to establish property tax levies to fund services for mental health, developmental disabilities and addiction.

A referendum on the ballot asks for funding to establish a community mental health board — also known as a 708 board for the state House resolution that created the entities — to address the high demand for mental health and disability services.

In the townships, the referendums call for the the added annual tax would be a part of the township levy not to exceed 0.15%. For residents of Will County, the annual tax rate would not exceed .05%.
